The Texas High School Coaches Association awards Sabinal high school seniors Beau Beza, Matthew McCauley, Diego Valdez, and Riely Moreno with the THSCA Academic All-State award. Merit is based on grade point average, SAT/ACT scores, and class rank. According to THSCA, this award shows athletes' commitment and dedication to performing at the highest level of academic excellence.
