Sabinal ISD to conduct a districtwide student reunification drill May 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM
Sabinal Independent School District will be conducting a districtwide student reunification drill in
collaboration with law enforcement and other first responders. The safety and well-being of our
students are of utmost importance, and this exercise is a proactive measure to ensure
preparedness in case of unforeseen events.
Date: Tuesday May 14, 2024
Time: Approximately 2:00 PM
Location: Yellowjacket Stadium
This exercise is a valuable opportunity for our school and emergency personnel to work together
and familiarize themselves with the process of reuniting students to their families in the event of
an emergency.
We want to assure the community that this is a simulated scenario, and there is no cause for
alarm. The drill has been carefully planned and will be conducted under the supervision of trained
professionals to ensure a safe and controlled environment. Parents may choose to observe the
process across the street from the high school campus along Cullins Ave, but please do not interact
with the students or staff so that they may concentrate on their responsibilities during this drill.
